Bearcats open season at Syracuse on Feb. 12

VESTAL, N.Y. - The Binghamton University women's lacrosse team has released its 2019 schedule, which opens at Syracuse, a returning NCAA qualifying squad, on Tuesday, February 12. The 17 game slate, which includes nine home stands, features a wide range of competition including contests against the Orange, Dartmouth, Marist, Harvard and Ohio State.

"We are very excited about the spring schedule and the level of competition we will be facing," head coach Stephanie Allen said. "Our non-conference schedule allows us to play several of the top programs in the Northeast and help prep us for a rigorous America East schedule. Our ability to improve every game throughout our non-conference schedule will be key for being ready to go in the second half of the season."

After a season-opening trip to the Carrier Dome, the Bearcats return home on Sunday, February 17 for its home opener against Niagara. A mid-week trip to Colgate on Feb. 20 is then followed by three homestands for Binghamton, welcoming Dartmouth on Feb. 24, Marist on March 1 and Lafayette on March 6.

Allen's squad gets back on the road for a matchup against B1G opponent Ohio State on March 9 before returning home to host Harvard on March 16 before opening America East Play.

"With the America East adding it's 8th member last year and also gaining its highest national ranking ever, the competition within conference is mounting," head coach Stephanie Allen said. "We need to be ready for every team we face to show up at their peak. As a team, we need to be at our best come conference play."

Bearcats open AE competition with an away contest against UNH on March 23 before taking a midweek trip to NY rival and perennial powerhouse Cornell on March 27. UAlbany comes to the Bearcats Sports Complex on March 30 before the Bearcats head to Maryland to face UMBC on April 3.

Binghamton returns for back to back home matchups against UMass Lowell (April 6) and Hartford (April 13). The Bearcats are then away at Stony Brook on April 19 and Canisius on April 24. They finish their regular season home against Vermont on April 27.

The America East championships is slated for May 3-5.
