VESTAL, N.Y. - Visiting Loyola (4-6) put five players in double figures and shot 58 percent in the second half to pull away from Binghamton men's basketball (3-7) 83-65 Saturday afternoon at Dr. Bai Lee Court at the Events Center.Â
Freshman guard
Sam Sessoms scored the game's first five points to stake BU to a quick lead but Loyola quickly took control in the first half. The Greyhounds led by as many as 12 points before settling on a 36-27 halftime cushion.Â
In the second half, BU drew within six, 52-46, with 13:13 left, on five straight points from senior guard
J.C. Show and a pair of free throws from junior guard
Richard Caldwell, Jr. However, Loyola promptly went on a 14-3 run to restore a double-digit lead, which they kept for the remainder of the game.Â
Sessoms hit 7-of-14 from the field for a game-high 20 points. The freshman standout ranks eighth in the nation in rookie scoring and hit for double digits for the 10th straight game to begin his promising collegiate career.

Albert Odero added 10 points each with Show's points all coming in the second half.
Loyola made 10-of-17 three-pointers and were plus 12 on the glass.
Binghamton is off for final exams until hosting Horizon League member Youngstown State on Dec. 15. Â
