Women's tennis drops match at NJIT 6-1

Samara Eisenberg earns win at No. 1 singles

NEWARK, N.J. - Host NJIT (3-3) won the doubles point and five of the six singles matches to defeat Binghamton women's tennis (1-5) 6-1 Sunday afternoon at The Naimoli Family Athletic and Recreational Facility.

Sophomore No. 1 Samara Eisenberg provided BU's lone win when her opponent retired with Eisenberg closing in on the first set.

Two other matches went to a third set but the Bearcats lost each.

Binghamton next faces Drexel (Feb. 23) and Lehigh (Feb. 24) on the road before meeting Seton Hall on Feb. 25 at Cornell.
