Women's lacrosse hosts Canisius Monday

Bearcats and Golden Griffs set for a 4 p.m. start

VESTAL, N.Y. - The Binghamton women's lacrosse team (3-2) will host Canisius (0-3) at the Bearcats Sports Complex on Monday afternoon. The non-conference matchup is scheduled for a 4 p.m. start. Allison Daley returns as the head coach for Canisius. Daley spent three seasons as an assistant at Binghamton under Stephanie Allen.

Scouting the Bearcats

The Bearcats fell to No. 2 Boston College, 14-2, on Friday afternoon
Jacqueline Kennedy leads Binghamton with 12 points, Rebecca Golderman has 11 and Brianne Arthur has contributed 10
Emma Jehle and Taylor Passuello have been splitting time in goal
Passuello has posted a .500 save percentage this season
Alexa Franze leads the team defensively with 10 caused turnovers and 16 ground balls

Scouting the Griffs

The Golden Griffs have dropped all three contests of 2017 - Northwestern (18-7), Michigan (14-3) and Oregon (12-11)
The team is led offensively by Jourdan Roemer who has netted five goals and added five assists
Jen Reininger has scored seven goals in three games
Rebecca VanLaeken has posted a .517 save percentage

Series History

The two teams have met 14 times, with Canisius holding a 12-2 advantage
The last time the two teams met was in 2012 when the Bearcats edged the Griffs 11-9

The Bearcats host Ohio State at the Bearcats Sports Complex on Friday. The game is set for a 4 p.m. start.
