Men’s lacrosse heads to Hartford Saturday

America East matchup slated for a 1 p.m. start

VESTAL, N.Y. - The Binghamton men's lacrosse team (3-8, 0-2 AE) will travel to Hartford (3-6, 0-2 AE) on Saturday afternoon. The conference matchup is scheduled for a 1 p.m. start at Al-Marzook Field. The game will be broadcast on ESPN3.



Scouting the Bearcats
  • Binghamton enters the contest riding a two-game win streak
  • The Bearcats defeated Siena 13-11 on Tuesday and Lafayette 15-6 on Saturday
  • Thomas McAndrew netted six goals last week including a career-high four goal performance in the win over Lafayette
  • McAndrew leads the team with 15 goals while William Talbott-Shere has 20 points on 12 goals and eight assists
  • Sal Fama leads the team defensively with 13 caused turnovers and 15 ground balls
  • Freshman Tom Galgano was impressive on defense last week - causing four turnovers and picking up three ground balls in the victory over the Leopards
  • Kevin Carbone has started the last five games in goal posting a 3-2 record
  • Carbone has recorded 68 saves for a .523 save percentage which currently ranks fourth in the conference

Scouting the Hawks
  • Hartford enters the game 3-6 overall and 0-2 in the America East conference
  • Most recently, the Hawks fell to No. 16 Vermont 11-7 at Al-Marzook field
  • Rion Davidson netted two goals for Hartford in the contest
  • Griffin Feiner leads the team offensively with 43 points on 30 goals and 13 assists, he currently ranks third in the conference averaging 4.90 points per game
  • Justin Huggins has scored 23 goals and added five assists
  • Ryan Vanderford has started every game in goal for the Hawks recording 84 saves for a .467 save percentage

Series History
  • This will be the 17th time the two teams have met with Binghamton holding a 10-6 advantage over Hartford
  • In 2017, the Bearcats edged the Hawks 10-9 at the Bearcats Sports Complex
  • Stephen Petrelli lead Binghamton with three goals while McAndrew and Griffin Konen each added two
