VESTAL, N.Y. – It wasn't just the current Binghamton softball team that got to play on the upgraded Bearcats Sports Complex this past week.

On Sunday morning, the Bearcats held their alumni game and with enough returning former players to field two teams, it was the perfect conclusion to a successful week of home games. Included among the alums were players from  the current NCAA Division I era as well as the Division II and Division III eras, when the program was known as the Colonials.

"We were thrilled to have so many of our alumni back for the game ," head coach Michelle Johnston said. "We had enough people to field two full teams and they had the opportunity to play on the new field. Many of them were able to come and watch us play against Hartford this weekend and we really appreciate all their continued support of the program."

The alums who came to the series against Hartford saw the Bearcats sweep three games from the Hawks. Binghamton has now won five of its last seven games heading into the America East Tournament.
