VESTAL, N.Y. - Senior forward
Caleb Stewart kept up his big production with a career-high 26 points and Binghamton men's basketball (6-15, 2-4 America East) toppled visiting Maine (3-18, 1-5 AE) 78-66 Saturday afternoon at Dr. Bai Lee Court at the Events Center.Â
Stewart posted his second-straight double-double with 11 rebounds and reached the 1,000-point milestone for his collegiate career with a free throw with 19 seconds left in the game. Stewart becomes the second Bearcat to reach the plateau this season (

Binnghamton shot 54 percent for the game but trailed 51-44 with 12:20 remaining before rallying. Five different players scored during a 20-8 run that spanned 6:10 and gave the Bearcats a 64-59 lead with 6:10 left. Show hit a pair of 3-pointers and seniors
Timmy Rose and
Everson Davis also hit key threes during the run. Binghamton then made 10 free throws in the final 4:35 to seal the win.

The Black Bears then opened the second half with an 8-0 run to take the lead and stretched that margin to seven before BU responded.
Freshman guard
Sam Sessoms scored 11 of his 14 points in the second half and added four assists and a pair of steals. Show chipped in 11 points and two steals and senior forward
Chancellor Barnard added eight rebounds, six points and three steals.
With the win, BU snapped a four-game losing skid and moved into sole possession of sixth place in the America East standings.Â
