Men's Soccer Travels to Stony Brook

Bearcats and Seawolves kick off Saturday at 7 p.m.

STORY LINES

- Binghamton (3-7-1, 0-3-0 AE) lost 4-0 at Vermont last Saturday. Junior midfielder Noah Luescher continues to lead the Bearcats with four goals and nine total points so far this season.

- Stony Brook (3-8-2, 0-3-0 AE) played to a scoreless tie at Lafayette on Tuesday. In their last conference game, the Seawolves were defeated 1-0 by Hartford on Oct. 11. Jared Dass leads the team with five goals and 10 total points.

- Binghamton leads the all-time series against Stony Brook 9-7-5. Last year, however, Stony Brook won 2-1 on Homecoming Weekend at the Bearcats Sports Complex. Luescher netted the Binghamton goal in that game. In both 2017 and 2018, the two teams played to scoreless draws.

- Dass is ranked third in the America East with 0.42 goals per game and sixth with 0.83 points per game. Luescher is fifth with 0.40 goals per game and fifth with 0.90 points per game. Luescher is also third in the conference with 2.40 shots per game.

- Three Binghamton freshmen have scored goals this season. Ethan Homler scored twice in Binghamton's 2-1 win over Columbia on Oct. 8. Parker McKnight netted a goal against Syracuse on Sept. 2 and Dan Mansfield scored against Rutgers on Sept. 10. McKnight and Mansfield both graduated from nearby Vestal High School.
