Men's Soccer Hosts UMBC on Senior Day

Bearcats and Retrievers kick off Saturday at 7 p.m.

STORY LINES

- Binghamton (4-7-2, 1-3-0 AE) played to a 1-1 tie at Bucknell on Tuesday night. Junior midfielder Lucas Arzan scored in the 21st minute, with the assist going to freshman midfielder Matthew Cozetti.

- Junior midfielder continues to lead the Bearcats with five goals, two assists and 12 total points so far this season. In the America East statistics, he is fourth in both goals per game (0.45) and points per game (1.09). Luescher is also second in the conference in shots per game (2.45).

- UMBC (5-7-1, 0-3-1 AE) lost 2-1 in overtime at home last Saturday night. Alejandro Arbelaez scored the Retreivers' goal in the 55th minute.

- Ryan Becher leads UMBC with four goals and 11 total points so far this season. He has also tallied three assists, one behind teammate Colin Weyant (4 assists). In the current America East statistics, Becher is tied for sixth with both 0.31 goals and 0.68 points per game.  

- Binghamton leads the all-time series against UMBC 8-7-4. Last year, however, the Retrievers won 1-0 in Baltimore on Oct. 20. The Bearcats' last home win in the series was a 2-1 triumph on Family Weekend at the Bearcats Sports Complex on Oct. 24, 2015.

- Binghamton is 2-1-1 over its last four games. The Bearcats have averaged 1.50 goals per match during that stretch.

- Arzan has a goal and an assist in the last two games. He assisted on freshman midfielder Oliver Svalander's game-tying goal at Stony Brook on Oct. 19. Svalander, meanwhile, is the current America East Rookie of the Week.

- Binghamton will honor its two graduating seniors – Stephen McKenna and Haris Brkovic - during a pregame ceremony.
