Men's Soccer Heads to Hofstra

Bearcats and Pride kick off Tuesday at 7 p.m.

STORY LINES

- Binghamton (5-7-2, 2-3-0 AE) defeated UMBC 1-0 on Saturday night. Redshirt freshman Dan Mansfield netted the game winner in the 67th minute. It was his second goal of the season and improved the Bearcats' record to 3-1-1 in their last five matches.

- Hofstra (7-6-1, 4-2-1 CAA) defeated Delaware 5-0 on Saturday. Matthew Vowinkel, who leads the Pride with seven goals and 15 total points, recorded a hat trick against the Blue Hens. Hofstra is 2-0-1 in its last three matches.

- Hofstra leads the all-time series 3-1-0. In the most recent meeting, the Pride took a 2-1 decision on Oct. 25, 2017. Current senior Haris Brkovic netted the Bearcats' goal in the 32nd minute. Binghamton's lone victory in the series was a 2-1 triumph exactly one year earlier.

- Junior midfielder Noah Luescher continues to lead Binghamton with five goals and 12 total points. In the current America East statistics, he ranks fifth with 0.35 goals per game and fourth with 0.92 points per game.

- Redshirt freshman goalkeeper P.J. Parker, the current America East Defensive Player of the Week, has a 0.63 goals against average and 0.93 save percentage this season. He recorded a career-high seven saves in the win over UMBC.

- Mansfield is one of three Binghamton freshmen to have scored twice this season. He joins Ethan Holmer and Oliver Svalander, both of whom assisted on Saturday night's game-winning goal against UMBC.
