VESTAL, N.Y. - The Binghamton men's lacrosse team fell 16-10 to #18 Colgate in its season opener Saturday afternoon. Senior Joe Licata led the charge for the Bearcats, recording a hat-trick while adding two assists.
"Colgate is a ranked team for a reason," head coach Kevin McKeown said. "I think we played well today, and we also got a look at some areas we need to improve. I don't know if we did the best at using our 80 seconds of shot clock. It definitely is a faster game and it's exciting. We're trying to play a little faster and we saw some goals from our guys in transition early in the game which were great, but in the end we didn't make enough plays."
