Men's Lacrosse Falls to Lafayette 13-12

Licata records 2nd hat-trick, Perotto leads the Bearcats with 4 points

Box Score EASTON, P.A. - The Binghamton men's lacrosse team (0-2) fell 13-12 on the road at Lafayette (4-1) Saturday afternoon. Senior Joe Licata recorded his 2nd hat-trick to start the season and junior Jon Perotto led the team with 4 points (1 G, 3 A).

Highlights
  • After being down 2-0 and 3-1 early in the game, the Bearcats scored 7 straight to take an 8-3 lead halfway through the 2nd. Five different Bearcats tallied goals in that span (Licata-2, Sean Makar-2, Will Talbott-Shere-1, Salvatore Ienna-1, Jackson Reiger-1)
  • After Lafayette jumped out to the 2-0 lead, Griffin Konen scored his 1st goal of the season to get the Bearcats on the board
  • Binghamton led at the end of the first three quarters (1st: 7-3, 2nd: 8-6, 3rd: 9-8)
  • Four different Bearcats recorded three or more points (Perotto, Licata, Konen, and Will Talbott-Shere)
  • Drew Furlong recorded seven ground balls and won nine faceoffs
  • T.J. Tiernan scored his first of goal of the season to make it a one goal game with 1:13 left in the 4th
