Women's Lacrosse Falls to Cornell 23-5

Golderman records 2nd hat-trick of the season

Box Score ITHACA, NY - The Binghamton women's lacrosse team (0-10) fell to Cornell (5-4) 23-5 Wednesday evening at Schoellkopf field. Rebecca Golderman led the Bearcats with three goals, securing her second hat trick of the season.

The Bearcats got on the board first, with back-to-back goals from Golderman in the first fifteen minutes of the game. Tied at 2-2, Cornell scored two more before Golderman secured her third goal. Binghamton scored once more in the first half, as Sidra Morchower netted her first collegiate goal off a feed from Emily Yoo. Cornell finished the first half outscoring Binghamton 12-4.

The Bearcats saw one final goal in the second half of the game, as Ciara Gordon scored her fifth goal of the season off a feed from Paige Volkmann. The Big Red outscored Binghamton 11-1 in the second half, taking a 23-5 victory.

Taylor Passuello finished with 11 saves in the net.

The Bearcats are back in action at home this Saturday, Mar. 30 at 1 p.m. against UAlbany.
