Women’s Lacrosse Falls to Ohio State 13-7

Box Score COLUMBUS, Ohio - The Binghamton Women's Lacrosse team (0-6) lost 13-7 in Columbus Saturday afternoon. Rebecca Golderman recorded her second consecutive multi-goal game, while Paige Volkmann extended her goal-scoring streak to five games.

"We are in a tough stretch of our schedule right now, playing some very good competition," head coach Stephanie Allen said. "Today's outcome was obviously not what we wanted, but overall we competed hard today and played :52 of good lacrosse. We just have to keep trusting in the process - it'll get us to where we need to be."

  • The Buckeyes tied the game after Sophie Baez scored two rapid-fire goals of her own

  • The Buckeyes scored with one second remaining in the period to bring the teams into halftime tied
  • Goals by Golderman and Kelly Quinn put Binghamton in front early in the period
  • Ohio State scored eight of the next nine goals to pull away and seal the victory

The Bearcats will play the rescheduled game against Lafayette next, after it was postponed due to weather last week. The game will take place Wednesday, Mar. 13 at 7 p.m., at the Bearcat Sports Complex
