Women’s Lacrosse Defeats Hartford 17-5 on Senior Day

Seven Bearcats score multiple goals, Yoo finishes with five points

VESTAL, N.Y. - The Binghamton Women's Lacrosse team (2-12, 2-3 AE) won 17-5 against Hartford (1-14, 0-5 AE) at home on Saturday. Seven Bearcats finished with multiple goals, a team-high for this season, while Emily Yoo recorded five points on senior day.

 

Highlights:

 
  • The Bearcats put Hartford under pressure early on, hitting the post twice in the first five minutes

  • The Hawks took a 1-0 lead just over eight minutes into the game, before Binghamton responded through sophomore midfielder Kelly Quinn's eighth goal of the season less than a minute later

  • Senior midfielders Ciara Gordon and Olivia Batista and senior attacker Emily Yoo struck over a span of a minute and a half to put Binghamton up 4-1

  • Kelly Quinn scored her second goal of the game at 15:25 in the first half; she has now scored multiple goals in three games this season

  • Ciara Gordon scored off an assist from Emily Yoo for the second time in the game before senior midfielder Rebecca Golderman scored her team-leading 20th goal of the season

  • Sophomore attacker Paige Volkmann struck twice early in the second half for Binghamton, converting assists from Gordon and Yoo

  • Hartford's Billy McLaughlin scored twice in just over two minutes to make the score 10-4 Bearcats

  • Junior midfielder Alissa Franze then struck twice in three minutes for Binghamton, the second goal coming from the free position

  • Rebecca Golderman recorded her second goal of the day from the free position to make the score 15-4 Bearcats

  • Seniors Danielle Lulley and Emily Yoo rounded out the scoring for the Bearcats in their final home game
