Rayn Gibson is sixth in the America East with five wins and second with 60 strikeouts. Sophomore pitcher
Chelsea Howard, meanwhile, is tied for second with a pair of saves.
- Stony Brook (15-10, 2-1 AE) dropped a 6-1 decision at Hofstra on Wednesday. For the season, Katelyn Corr ranks fourth in the America East with a .405 batting average. Melissa Rahrich is tied for first in the conference with eight home runs and is the America East leader with 35 RBI. As a team, Stony Brook is batting a conference-best .311.
- In America East games, Binghamton dropped two of three games at UMBC last weekend while Stony Brook took two out of three games at Hartford.
- Stony Brook leads the all-time series 36-22, having taken two out of three games last season. Those games were played at Cornell while the Bearcats Sports Complex was undergoing renovations. The Seawolves also swept a home doubleheader on May 6, 2017. In postseason play, however, Binghamton has won the past four meetings.
