STORY LINES

- Binghamton (14-16, 3-3 AE) took two out of three conference games against Stony Brook this past weekend. Junior pitcher Rayn Gibson finished 2-0 with a 1.00 ERA and 18 strikeouts. She fired a four-hit shutout and struck out 10 batters as the Bearcats won 1-0 in the final game on Sunday. Sophomore shortstop Makayla Alvarez homered during the series and drove in a team-best four runs.

- Junior third baseman Sarah Benn is batting a team-best .333 so far this season while freshman second baseman Marissa Braito is hitting .326. Alvarez is tied for third in the America East with six home runs while junior catcher Sara Herskowitz is sixth with 21 RBI.

- On the mound, Gibson ranks second in the America East with 84 strikeouts and is tied for fourth with seven victories. Sophomore pitcher Chelsea Howard is tied for second with a pair of saves.

- Albany (14-9, 3-0 AE) swept Hartford this past weekend in its first conference games of the season. Katie Falotico leads the Great Danes in batting (.377) and is tied for seventh with 19 RBI. On the mound, Celeste Verdolivo is tied for second with 10 victories and is seventh with a 2.37 ERA.

- Albany leads the all-time series 44-11. Last season, the Great Danes took two out of three regular-season games and won 9-0 in the second round of the America East Tournament.

- Binghamton has started off the home portion of its schedule 3-1. The Bearcats have averaged 10.5 runs per game during that stretch.
