VESTAL, N.Y. – Junior midfielder
Noah Luescher has been named the America East Men's Offensive Player of the Week. It marks the second time in his career that he has earned the conference's weekly accolade.
Luescher scored a pair of goals, including the game winner in overtime, as the Bearcats defeated Drexel 2-1 in their season opener last Friday. He tied the game with a free kick in the 79th minute and booted the game winner four minutes into the first sudden-death period.
"Noah did a fantastic job on both free kicks," head coach
Paul Marco said. "He has been terrific in leading our young team this year and we were pleased to start the season with a win at home."
The two goals and four total points both represent career highs for Luescher.
