Men's Soccer Hosts Canisius

Bearcats and Golden Griffs kick off Friday at 7 p.m.

STORY LINES

- Binghamton (1-1-0) lost 3-1 at Syracuse on Monday night. Redshirt freshman Parker McKnight scored his first career goal in the game. Junior midfielder Noah Luescher, the current America East Offensive Player of the Week, has a team-best two goals and four total points so far this season.

- Canisius (0-1-0) lost its season opener against Bucknell 4-1 on Sunday. Troy Brady scored the Golden Griffs' goal on a penalty kick in the 71st minute.

- Binghamton has won all three previous meetings against Canisius. Most recently, the Bearcats took a 5-1 road decision on Sept. 23, 2017. Current senior forward Haris Brkovic scored twice in the victory. In the last match at the Bearcats Sports Complex, Binghamton won 2-1 on August 26, 2016.

- Binghamton has started six freshmen and one redshirt freshman (McKnight) in each of the first two games. Mats Roorda is the Bearcats' first freshman goalkeeper since 2012. He stopped nine shots against Syracuse on Monday night.
