Bearcats look to return some familiar faces to starting lineup

The Binghamton wrestling team welcomes EIWA opponents Brown and Harvard to the West Gym Saturday afternoon. This will be the Bearcats' final double dip of the season, as the team has four single duals to close the regular season.

Prior to the second match against Harvard (6 p.m.), the program will take the time to celebrate the careers of Nunzio Crowley, Jason Javier, Kevin Kelly, Anthony Sparacio and Dylan Wood in a senior day ceremony.

Back on track: Projected Lineup
Binghamton has had a case of the injury bug of late, and is riding a six match losing streak heading into the weekend, but has much reason for optimism. On Saturday, they will look to return most of the lineup that has brought success this season. After missing last weekend's action, No. 5 Lou DePrez and Anthony Sparacio are slated to start at 184 and 141 pounds respectively. An undefeated No. 11 Zack Trampe could possibly return as well.

125: Carson Sauriol (Record: 4-8) or Tomasso Frezza (Record: 1-10)
133: No. 11 Zack Trampe (Record: 6-0) or Tomasso Frezza (Record: 1-10)
141: Anthony Sparacio (Record: 15-10)
149: Matt Swanson (Record: 5-10) or Michael Zarif (Record: 2-11)
157: Christopher Barker (Record: 5-15)
165: Jacob Nolan (Record: 4-4)
174: Alex Melikian (Record: 9-10)
184: No. 5 Lou DePrez (Record: 16-5)
197: Sam DePrez (Record: 3-9)
285: Joe Doyle (Record: 13-10)

A look at Brown
Brown enters Saturday's dual with an 0-4 record, but looks can be deceiving for this Bears squad. Three of the team's four losses have been within four points, including two-point defeats at American and Franklin & Marshall.

Nino Bastianelli (197 pounds) and Brandon Kui (184 pounds) have led the way for Brown thus far, both compiling 3-1 records in duals.

Projected Lineup
125: Trey Keeley (7-9) or Reese Fry (5-9)
133: Charlie Faber (9-11)
141: Jimmy Pawelski (9-8) or Samuel Lynch (3-10)
149: Ricky Cabanillas (15-10)
157: Jack Bokina (12-11) or Matt Lattanze (4-3)
165: Kiran Srikanth (2-4)
174: Bryce Rogers (5-3) or Cade Wilson (4-8)
184: Brandon Kui (7-2) or Aaron Wolk (3-6)
197: Nino Bastianelli (12-7)
285: James Valentino (0-12)

Harvard led by two nationally ranked wrestlers
The Crimson come in at 1-4 on the season, but are led by two of the top wrestlers in the nation. Philip Conagliaro (165 pounds) has a 19-6 record in 2019-20, and currently sits at No. 16 in the country in his weight class. Also, heavyweight Yaraslau Slavikouski has cracked the top 10 and will take on Joe Doyle for the second time this season. Slavikouski got the better of Doyle at the Cliff Keen Las Vegas Invite (9-4 DEC) earlier this season.

Projected Lineup
125: Nolan Hellickson (Record: 5-5) or Beau Bayless (Record: 9-8)
133: Michael Jaffe (Record: 12-11)
141: Lukus Stricker (Record: 9-10)
149: Aaron Kruk (Record: 4-9)
157: Hunter Ladnier (Record: 7-7)
165: No. 16 Phil Conigliaro (Record: 19-6)
174: Pierce Bausano (Record: 0-6)
184: Michael Doggett (Record: 5-13)
197: Evan Callahan (Record: 0-4)
Hwt: No. 10 Yaraslau Slavikauski (Record: 19-7)
