STORY LINES
- Binghamton heads to the state of Texas for an in-season tournament for the fourth time during its 19-year NCAA Division I era. The Bearcats previously played at UTEP (2008), Texas Tech (2012) and Lamar (2018).
- Binghamton returns all but two players from its 2019 squad. The Bearcats return a trio of second-team all-conference selections in junior third baseman

- The Bearcats finished 19-29 last year but was 2-2 at the conference tournament. Binghamton became the first sixth seed ever to advance to the third round of the America East Tournament.
- Lamar went 1-4 in its opening tournament of the season at the Texas Classic last weekend. MacKenize Brown batted a team-best .333 during those five games. The Cardinals finished the 2019 campaign 23-24.
- LaMar holds a 2-0 lead in the all-time series against Binghamton. The Cardinals swept both games against the Bearcats at its 2018 home tournament (held Feb. 23-24 of that year) Â by scores of 7-4 and 2-0.
- St. John's went 0-5 at its season-opening tournament at Central Florida last weekend (the Black and Gold Tournament). Kaitlin Mattera batted a team-best .438 in those five games. The Red Storm finished 26-22 last year.
- St. John's holds a 4-3 lead in the all-time series against Binghamton. Most recently, the Red Storm won 8-4 on March 17, 2018 at its home tournament. The Bearcats' last win in the series was a March 9, 2013 at the Maryland Miken Invitational.
- Texas A&M went 3-2 at its Aggie Classic last weekend. Jourdyn Campbell led the team with a .455 batting average while Meagan Smith hit three home runs and finished with seven RBI. Texas A&M finished 28-27 in 2019 and advanced to the NCAA Tournament.
- This marks the first-ever meeting between Binghamton and Texas A&M in softball.
