VESTAL, N.Y. - Former men's basketball standout
J.C. Show has earned a chance to play in the NBA G League after being selected in the draft. Show, who played for the Bearcats from 2016-19, was taken by Salt Lake City in the third round of Saturday's virtual draft from New York City.
"I'm grateful to be drafted by Salt Lake City," Show said. "I look forward to the opportunity to compete for a roster spot in training camp. It's been a long road for me to get to this point but I thank God for the lessons He has taught me through this process. I'm excited and ready to work!"
Show scored 1,200 collegiate points between his freshman season at Bucknell (236 pts.) and his final three seasons at Binghamton (964 pts.). He set the school record with 10 3-pointers against Maine on March 2, 2019 (10-for-14) and shot just under 40% from 3-point range during his senior season, which also included a buzzer-beating corner 3 to defeat LIU Brooklyn at the Barclays Center.
A two-time America East All-Academic Team selection, Show earned two degrees from Binghamton - his bachelor's degree in human development in 2017 and his master's degree in public administration in 2019.
He played the 2021 season for Omaha's Finest in The Basketball League (TBL), averaging 18.4 points. He shot 43% from 3-point range and 90% from the free throw line. You can watch highlights from his season
