Bearcats and Hawks square off Sunday at 3 p.m.

Binghamton (1-0-0, 1-0-0 AE) defeated Albany 2-1 in its season opener on Feb. 26. Senior midfielder Noah Luescher scored both goals, including the game winner midway through the second half.

Hartford (1-0-0, 1-0-0 AE) beat Albany 2-0 in its season opener on March 5. Benjamin Hart and Dario Cavada netted the two goals for the Hawks.

Luescher was named the America East Offensive Player of the Week on March 2. He was also named to the College Soccer News Team of the Week.

Cavada was named the America East Offensive Player of the Week on March 9 while Rotem Fadida swept both the Rookie of the Week and Defensive Player of the Week awards.

The series between Binghamton and Hartford is tied at 9-9-4. In 2019, the Hawks swept both meetings against the Bearcats, winning 1-0 on Nov. 2 and 2-0 in the America East Quarterfinals on Nov. 9. Both of those games took place at Hartford.

Binghamton, Hartford and Albany are grouped in one of the three pods in the America East this season. The first-place finisher in each pod – as well as a wild card team – will advance to the conference tournament.
