Men's Lacrosse Hosts UMBC Wednesday

Bearcats and Retrievers set for 4 p.m. face-off

VESTAL, N.Y. -- The Binghamton men's lacrosse team (1-1 AE) will host UMBC (3-0, 2-0 AE) on Wednesday Mar. 24 at 4 p.m.

Notes
  • The Bearcats are coming off a 19-7 loss against UAlbany.
  • Senior attack Justin Roderka and sophomore midfielder Thomas Greenblatt lead in goals scored with each contributing five thus far.
  • At faceoff, sophomore Matthew DeSouza is 25 for 40. 
Scouting UMBC
  • The Retrievers have begun their season 3-0, which is their first 3-0 start since 2001. 
  • UMBC opened their season with a single OT win against non-conference opponent Mt. St. Mary's 8-7.
  • In the Retrievers second game of the season, they were victorious 13-12 following four OT periods against America East opponent Stony Brook. 
  • Most recently, UMBC beat Hartford 13-10 on the road.
  • Nick Dupuis leads UMBC in points with nine goals, five of which came in the win over Hartford, along with three assists. 
  • Defender Ethan Robinson was named America East Rookie of the Week.
Series History
  • UMBC carries the all-time series 16-6. 
  • Bearcats and Retrievers have not faced off since Apr. 6, 2019 when Binghamton lost on the road 13-6.
