Bearcats and Retrievers set for 4 p.m. face-off

VESTAL, N.Y. -- The Binghamton men's lacrosse team (1-1 AE) will host UMBC (3-0, 2-0 AE) on Wednesday Mar. 24 at 4 p.m.

The Bearcats are coming off a 19-7 loss against UAlbany.
Senior attack Justin Roderka and sophomore midfielder Thomas Greenblatt lead in goals scored with each contributing five thus far.
At faceoff, sophomore Matthew DeSouza is 25 for 40.

Scouting UMBC

The Retrievers have begun their season 3-0, which is their first 3-0 start since 2001.
UMBC opened their season with a single OT win against non-conference opponent Mt. St. Mary's 8-7.
In the Retrievers second game of the season, they were victorious 13-12 following four OT periods against America East opponent Stony Brook.
Most recently, UMBC beat Hartford 13-10 on the road.
Nick Dupuis leads UMBC in points with nine goals, five of which came in the win over Hartford, along with three assists.
Defender Ethan Robinson was named America East Rookie of the Week.

Series History

UMBC carries the all-time series 16-6.
Bearcats and Retrievers have not faced off since Apr. 6, 2019 when Binghamton lost on the road 13-6.
