- St. Bonaventure's first match of the year – at St. Francis (Pa.) on Thursday night – was postponed in the 36th minute due to lightening. During the truncated 2020-21 spring season, the Bonnies went 4-4-1. Fredrik Hansen is St. Bonaventure's top returning scorer – with three goals and six total points last year.
- The all-time series between the two teams is even at 1-1-2. Most recently, the two teams played to a scoreless draw at St. Bonaventure on Sept. 30, 2015. The Bearcats' victory in the series was a 1-0 win on Sept. 12, 2005 in the final round at the Bonnies home invitational. St. Bonaventure's win, meanwhile, was a 1-0 decision at the Bearcats' Sports Complex on Sept. 27, 2013.
- During its 21-year NCAA Division I era, Binghamton has started off a season 2-0-0 five times, most recently in 2017.
- Since moving into the Bearcats Sports Complex in 2007, Binghamton is 9-3-1 in home openers and has won their past two such games. The match against St. Bonaventure marks the first fall home contest the Bearcats have played in since beating Albany 1-0 back on Nov. 6, 2019.
