Men’s Soccer Travels to Siena

Bearcats and Saints square off Tuesday at 4 p.m.

STORY LINES

- Binghamton (2-1-0) lost 2-1 at Niagara on Friday evening. Junior forward Oliver Svalander netted his second goal of the season in the 82nd minute. In goal, junior Mats Roorda made a season-high seven saves.

- Svalander is tied for second in the America East with two goals and is tied for third with 0.67 goals per game. He is also tied for sixth with 1.33 total points per game. Roorda, meanwhile, has a conference-best 5.00 saves per game.

- Siena (2-1-0) won 2-0 at Bryant on Saturday night. Jacob Pacheo, who leads the Saints with two goals so far this season, netted the game winner against the Bulldogs.

- The Saints' lone setback this year was a 1-0 overtime defeat against America East opponent UMass Lowell on Aug. 30.

- Heading into Tuesday's match, Binghamton is unbeaten against Siena in six previous meetings. The Bearcats hold a 3-0-3 lead in the all-time series. Most recently, the two teams played to a 2-2 deadlock at Siena on Sept. 2, 2016.

- So far this season, Binghamton is averaging 1.67 goals per game to the Saints' 1.33 goals per contest. Defensively, the Bearcats are allowed 1.33 goals per match to Siena's 0.67 goals per game.

- Binghamton is in the middle of playing five straight games away from the Bearcats Sports Complex. The last time that happened was from Aug. 29-Sept. 11, 2016. The Bearcats went 2-1-2 during that stretch.

- The last time the Bearcats went 3-1-0 to start the season was in 2015. They dropped their season opener against Wright State before knocking off No. 30 Ohio State, Manhattan and St. Peter's.
