Men's Lacrosse Starts 2022 Season

Bearcats host Marist Feb. 12 at Noon

VESTAL, N.Y.-- The Binghamton University men's lacrosse team will begin their 2022 season Saturday at noon against Marist. The Bearcats will face a Marist team that they played just two years ago in 2020. 

Notes

  • Binghamton returns five of their top six goal scorers from last season in Thomas Greenblatt, Daniel MacKinney, Kevin Winkoff, Justin Roderka, and Ryan McBeth.

  • In their last meeting both Greenblatt and Roderka were able to find the back of the net, each scoring a goal.

  • Binghamton returns 30 letterwinners from a sason ago.

  • First time having back to back home games to start the season since 2017. 

  • They will be followed by four straight road games

Scouting Marist

  • Finished the 2021 season with a 3-1 record, only playing four games due to COVID-19 restrictions

  • Voted to finish second in the MAAC this season

  • The Red Foxes began their 2022 season facing the No. 9 team in the country, Rutgers, losing 13-10.

  • Vito Musso led all scorers with four goals, followed by Kevin Pullera, James Lyons, and Preseason All-MAAC selection member Jamison Embury each finishing with two goals for Marist.

Series History

  • Binghamton and Marist are currently tied 5-5 in series meetings

  • At home, Binghamton is 3-2 in the series

  • When the Bearcats have scored nine or more goals the team is 4-1 in the series

  • Marist won the last matchup 12-4 in 2020
