Men's lacrosse set to take on Lafayette

Bearcats road stretch continues against Leopards

The Binghamton men's lacrosse team will continue its four-game road stretch on Saturday, Feb. 26 when they travel to take on Lafayette. The Bearcats are looking to get back on track after falling on the road to No. 18 Princeton on Tuesday.

Notes

  • The game against Princeton featured goals from seven different Bearcats

  • At the faceoff position, junior Matthew DeSouza finished 10 -for- 17 and Ross Chazanow added six of his own, scoring his first goal of the season off of a faceoff win

  • Chazanow added a team high five groundballs in the contest

Scouting the Leopards

  • Lafayette (2-1) defeated Drexel in their previous game by a score of 13-11

  • Sophomores Peter Lehman and Kalman Kraham each scored three goals

  • Sophomore Adian Kelly led the Leopards in groundballs with eight, winning 13 of 18 faceoffs

  • Freshman goalie Gabe Cummins had 11 saves in the win. He now has 27 saves on the season.

Series History

  •  In nine all-time matchups, Binghamton leads the series, 6-3

  • Binghamton won the last contest between the two sides, 11-10 in a triple overtime thriller

  • The Bearcats have scored 98 total goals all-time against Lafayette, averaging 10.89 goals per game

  • BU will continue it's road stretch on Saturday, March 5 at 6 p.m. when they travel to Lewisburg, PA to take on Bucknell.
