The Binghamton softball team, which opens its season at Georgia Southern's home tournament this coming weekend, held its annual preseason media day on Monday afternoon at the Events Center. Head coach
Jess Bump was joined by senior infielder
Marissa Braito and sophomore pitcher
Allison L'Amoreaux.
Braito is one of three returning second-team all-conference selections on the Binghamton roster. The others are senior infielder
Makayla Alvarez and senior utility player
Sophia Pappas. L'Amoreaux, who graduated from nearby Maine-Endwell High School in 2020, was named the America East Rookie of the Week twice last season.
In the America East Preseason Poll, the Bearcats were picked fourth out of seven teams.
The Bearcats' first game this weekend at Georgia Southern is against Radford on Friday at 11 a.m.
