Men's Lacrosse Set To Take On Fairfield

Game is scheduled to begin Sunday at 1 p.m.

Binghamton men's lacrosse (2-3) is back at home on Monday at 3 p.m. to take on Fairfield (3-3). This will be the first home game since the season opener against Marist.

Notes

  • Senior Kevin Winkoff has continued his scoring ways this season, finding the back of the net in every game this season (and is fourth in the America East in goals per game with 2.67.
     

  • Junior Matthew Desouza grabbed a team-high 10 groundballs against Hofstra, also finishing a season high 19-of-22 from the faceoff position. Desouza currently ranks 11th in the country in faceoff win percentage (.633)
     

  • Senior Drew Furlong led another strong defensive effort for the Bearcats against Hofstra with two caused turnovers, and a season high eight groundballs.


Scouting Fairfield 

  • Fairfield leads the CAA in goals per game (13.67) and points per game (21.17)

 
  • Attacker Taylor Strough is sixth in the nation in goals (22) and goals per game (3.67)

 
  • Attacker Jack McKenna won Rookie of the Week last week with five goals in two games

 
  • Freshman defender Rory Thompson's father is longtime BU Track & Field coach Mike Thompson
     

Series History

  • This will be the first meeting all-time between the Bearcats and Stags.

  • BU will have a week off before going back on the road on Saturday March. 19 to face Albany.
