Men's lacrosse travels to face Bucknell

Bearcats set to play their third straight road game

Binghamton men's lacrosse (1-2) is back on the road Saturday, at 1 p.m. to take on Bucknell (4-0). The Bearcats are looking to keep the momentum up after a close win at Lafayette last Saturday.
 

Notes

  • The game against Lafayette featured goals by eight different Bearcats.
     

  • Kevin Winkoff was the leading goal scorer for the Bearcats with four goals, including his overtime winner over Lafayette.
     

  • Graduate student Justin Roderka and sophomore and Ethan Insinga added two goals each for the Bearcats.
     

  • At the faceoff position, junior Matthew DeSouza finished 8-of-15 and Ross Chazanow added another six faceoff wins.
     

  • Redshirt junior goalkeeper Teddy Dolan, senior Drew Furlong and DeSouza all finished with a team high three groundballs for the Bearcats.
     

  • Dolan also added 19 saves tying a school record in the win, which was good enough to earn him America East Defensive Player of the Week.
     

Scouting the Bison

  • Bucknell defeated Marist in their previous game, 15-7.
     

  • Bucknell is outsourcing opponents by seven goals per game.
     

  • Sophomore Dutch Furlong led the way for Bucknell with five goals and two assists with senior Alston Tarry adding another four goals.
     

  • Senior Nick Crovatto led the Bison in groundballs with 13, winning 17-of- 24 faceoffs.
     

  • Freshman goalkeeper Max Nolan had nine saves in the win. Increasing his total to 30 for the season.
     

Series History

  •  Bucknell leads the all-time series 1-0, having won 16-4 in the 2020 season.

  • BU will play the final game of their road stretch at Hempstead, NY on Tuesday, March 8 at 6 p.m. when the Bearcats take on Hofstra.
