STORY LINES

- Binghamton (19-19, 6-6 AE) swept Hartford this past weekend and has now won five of its last six games. Senior infielder Alli Richmond – the current America East Player of the Week – went 5-for-8 (.625) with three home runs and six RBI. Freshman outfielder Sarah Rende – the current America East Rookie of the Week – was 3-for-6 (.500) with two home runs and six RBI.

- Richmond and Rende are tied for the team lead and are deadlocked for fourth in the America East with six home runs. Richmond is also No. 10 in the conference with 23 RBI and fifth with a .577 slugging percentage while Rende is seventh with 25 runs. Freshman outfielder Alayna Harbaugh, meanwhile, is No. 10 in batting (.320) and first in the America East with 17 stolen bases.

- On the mound, sophomore pitcher Allison L'Amoreaux is tied for fifth in the America East with nine victories and is tied for seventh with 92 strikeouts. Graduate student speaker Chelsea Howard is No. 10 with 64 strikeouts.

- UMBC (26-9, 10-5 AE) took two out of three games against UMass Lowell at home this past weekend. Courtney Coppersmith - the current America East Pitcher of the Week - pitched a pair of shutouts and struck out 23 batters in the process.

- Coppersmith ranks first in the America East with a 0.35 ERA and is third with 154 strikeouts. Sierra Pierce is fifth in batting (.358).

- Binghamton leads the all-time series against UMBC 34-25. Last season, the two teams split the four-game series in Baltimore April 10-11. This year marks the first time the two teams meet at the Bearcats Sports Complex since 2016. In 2018, the two-team played at nearby Chenango Valley High School and the COVID-19 pandemic canceled conference play in 2020.
