ALBANY, N.Y. (BUBearcats.com) - The Binghamton University volleyball team (11-8, 4-0) extended its win streak to five with a 3-0 (25-23, 25-23, 25-20) sweep of UAlbany Sunday night in Robison Gym. The victory solidifies a 4-0 unbeaten start to America East competition.

The Bearcats dominated the shat sheet, owning a 12-4 lead in blocks and a 10-5 advantage from the service line. Binghamton held its opponent to just a .169 hitting percentage while recording a .280 clip as a team.

Tsvetelina Ilieva led play for BU with 16 kills, six digs and 18.5 while hitting an impressive .306 percent. Ella Schabort and Lydia Adam registered seven and six kills apiece, Adam's coming at a .333 clip.

Anna Sprys added four kills at .500 with a team-best nine blocks while Misa Dlouha posted four kills at .333 in the victory.

Lottie Scully contributed 29 assists and seven digs at setter with Madison Konopka notching a match-high four service aces and five digs at libero.

After trading points to start the set, Binghamton went on a 6-0 run to lead the frame 14-5. The Great Danes came back with seven straight to cut the Bearcat advantage to three at 17-14. BU closed in, taking three consecutive to lead 23-18. UAlbany tacked on five more until a kill from Adam won the set for BU 25-23.

Both teams traded the lead five times before Binghamton came up with a 5-0 run for a 19-12 lead in the second set. The Great Danes saved three set points in the final sequences of the frame until Ilieva took the set for the Bearcats 25-23.

BU continued its command of the match in the final set, jumping out 7-4 early on from an ace from Scully before UAlbany took back the lead at 9-8. Binghamton grabbed the advantage once again with two separate 4-0 runs to come up 14-10 and 18-13. The Great Danes were unable to overcome the Bearcat offensive attack as a kill from Schabort gave BU the match 25-20 in the final frame.
