SOUTHAMPTON, N.Y. – The Binghamton golf team closed out the fall portion of its 2023-24 season Tuesday at the Veterans Intercollegiate Tuesday at Sebonack Golf Club.
Sophomore
Brandon Conner had the lowest overall score for the Bearcats, shooting 70+84=154/10-over par to finish in a tie for 24th. Fifth year golfer
Evan Sitts, meanwhile, finished in a tie for 27th at 79+76=155/11-over par. His 76/4-over par during Tuesday's second round was the lowest score Binghamton had in the final round.
"It was a tough day out there," said Binghamton Head Coach
Bernie Herceg. "Conditions were very difficult. Cold and very windy and brisk. Evan [Sitts] had a real solid round, considering the conditions and everything. It was good to see him have a good round for his final fall round of the year, and probably his career."
Junior
Ryan Millevoi finished in a tie for 45th at 78+83=161/17-over par. Sophomore
Harrison Blech finished 52nd at 79+85=164/20-over par. Right behind him on the individual leaderboard was sophomore
Sean Shen, who placed in a tie for 53rd at 86+80=166/22-over par. Overall, the team finished 11th at 306+323=629/53-over par.
Long Island University won the competition with a score of 283+299=582/6-over par. Alex Creamean of Bucknell won medalist honors at 70+70=140/4-under par.
The spring portion of Binghamton's schedule will be announced at a later date.
