ELLICOTT CITY, Md. – The Binghamton golf team completed the second round of the NEC Men's Golf Championship Saturday at Turf Valley Resort's Original Course.
A day after gaining attention for making a hole-in-one on the 17th hole during the opening round,
Harrison Blech remains the top-performing Bearcat on the individual leaderboard. The senior is tied for 24th after shooting 77/6-over par on Saturday. His overall score is now at 71-77 = 148/6-over par.
Sean Shen posted the best score out of any Binghamton golfer on Saturday. The senior shot 74/3-over par, bringing his total score to 78-74 = 152/10-over par. He goes into Sunday's final round tied 41st.
Jackson Vesper, meanwhile, shot 75/4-over par on Saturday. He is tied for 42nd at 78-75 = 153/11-over par.
Jack Tebeau shot 76/5-over par for the second round. Tebeau, a freshman who is making his first appearance at this tournament, is tied for 33rd at 74-76 = 150/8-over par.
Brandon Conner is tied for 36th after shooting 78/7-over par on Saturday. The senior's 36-hole total is 73-78 = 151/9-over par.
Overall, Binghamton is in 10th place as a team at 296-302 = 598/30-over par.
The final round of the NEC Men's Golf Championship will be played on Sunday. Binghamton's tee times will be announced Saturday evening.
