Bearcats and Great Danes Face Off Saturday at 6 p.m.

STORY LINES

- Binghamton (2-6-2, 0-0-2 AE) tied NJIT 1-1 on Saturday. The Bearcats' goal was scored by graduate student midfielder Jack Green. Redshirt senior midfielder Anthony Lazaridis was credited with the assist. In goal, sophomore goalkeeper Jack Root recorded four saves. 


- Green leads the Bearcats with nine total points this season. He also leads the team in goals and assists with three each. Lazaridis has scored twice and has five total points.Root's Goals Against Average (GAA) is 0.67 while his save percentage is 0.833 across three games.

- Albany (4-6-1, 0-1-1 AE) was most recently edged 3-2 at Cornell on Tuesday. Three penalty kicks were awarded in the match -  two to Cornell and one to Albany.

- Alex Pechacek leads the Great Danes with seven total points - all from assists. He is ranked second in the America East with .636 assists per game. Ander Castillo, Tiago Dias and Mamadi Jiana are all tied for second on the team with three goals and six total points each.

- Since the two teams moved up to the NCAA Division I level in 2001, Binghamton narrowly leads the series 11-10-4. The most recent meeting between the two teams was last year's Homecoming Weekend match on Oct. 8. The Bearcats and Great Danes played to a scoreless tie.

- The last time Binghamton defeated Albany in an away game was Nov. 11, 2015 during the America East semifinals. The Bearcats won that game 1-0 to advance to the conference championship.
