BU to host nine home contests in the spring

FULL SCHEDULE

VESTAL, N.Y. (BUBearcats.com) - The Binghamton University women's lacrosse team released its 2024 championship schedule Friday morning, announced Head Coach Stephanie Allen

"We had a great fall ball full of energy and competitive intensity and are excited to carry that into the 2024 season," Allen said. "We want to test and prepare our players in different ways for a rigorous America East schedule and feel that some fresh faces in our non-conference schedule will do just that."

"The team is excited to pick up where we left off last spring," she added.

The 2024 slate features 10 nonconference games and six America East match-ups. Nine contests will be played at home at the Bearcat Athletic complex while six games will be played on the road.

Binghamton will open up the spring against Drexel at home, Feb. 10, before heading to Temple, Feb. 14. Then the squad will host Marist, Feb. 18, before getting on back on the road for a game at Colgate, Feb. 21. BU will conclude the month against Siena, Feb. 28, in Vestal.

The Bearcats spring break trip takes the team south to the Carolinas for clashes at Campbell, March 3, and Coastal Carolina, March 6. Binghamton will host back-to-back nonconference matches against Niagara, March 9, and Cornell, March 12.

BU opens its America East slate at defending champion Albany, March 16, before coming back home to play UMass-Lowell, March 23. The Bearcats finish up the month's schedule at Vermont, March 30.

Binghamton will then host Youngstown State, April 6, to close out its nonconference slate. The following week, UNH comes to town for an AE contest, April 13, before the Bearcats travel to UMBC, April 20.

The Bearcats conclude the season at home against Bryant, April 27. The America East Tournament will be held May, 3-5.

Last season, Binghamton's record-breaking campaign included its first-ever title game appearance, best conference record, 5-1, and tournament seed, second, most overall wins, 11, and most consecutive wins, seven. It was filled with individual honors with Allen grabbing her first America East Coach of the Year accolades and a record eight Bearcats earning all-conference laurels.
