Men’s Lacrosse travels to take on St. Bonaventure

VESTAL, N.Y.- Binghamton men's lacrosse (1-0) will head to St. Bonaventure (0-1) to take on the Bonnies on Saturday. The teams were scheduled to face last season but the contest was canceled due to weather.

About the Bearcats 

BU opened the season with a 18-11 win at Marist. The 18 goals tied a program record for goals in a game. Sophomores Matthew Keegan and Gage Adams both scored five goals to lead the Bearcats.

Senior Matthew DeSouza eclipsed the mark of 200 career faceoff wins after winning 12 of 17 faceoffs against Marist, while junior Ross Chazanow won 9 of 16 faceoffs.

In his first collegiate start, goalie Connor Winters recorded 14 saves in the net.

About St. Bonaventure

St. Bonaventure dropped their season opener against Bellarmine 14-10. In the contest 10 Bonnies found the back of the net. 

Six all-conference players return for the Bonnies from last year's team.

St. Bonaventure announced the move to the A-10 and was selected to finish sixth in the preseason poll.

The Bearcats will have their home opener on Feb. 25 at noon against Lafayette.
