Women's Lacrosse visits Siena on Saturday

Bearcats look to get back to .500 on the season

VESTAL, N.Y. - Binghamton women's lacrosse travels to Loudonville on Saturday afternoon for an in-state matchup with Siena. This will be the first meeting between the two programs since 2016. The Bearcats will look to continue their momentum from a strong fourth quarter in the loss to No. 2 Syracuse. Binghamton outscored the Orange, 7-2 in the final period. Kenna Newman leads the team in total points with 10. Newman ranks third in the conference with 2.33 assists per game. Isabella Meli leads the Bearcats with five goals on the season. Meli had a hat trick against Syracuse on Monday. Madison Murphy and Abigail Carroll each have four goals on the season.

Notes

Scouting the Saints

  • Siena lost to No. 22 Massachusetts on Wednesday, 14-5. Last Sunday, the Saints lost to Pittsburgh, 13-11.

  • The Saints were projected to finish tied for second in the MAAC this season.

  • Mary Soures leads the team with eight goals. Katy Wangsness has scored five goals this season.

  • Sabrina Krasner has a save percentage of .514 in three games this season.
