Men's lacrosse set for home opener against Lafayette

Free admission, action is set to begin at Noon

VESTAL, N.Y.- Binghamton men's lacrosse (2-0) will look to stay hot against Lafayette (1-3) in their home opener on Saturday. Binghamton is 2-0 to start the season for the first time in program history. Admission to the game is free.

About Binghamton 

  • Sophomore Matthew Keegan leads BU in goals with nine and a 47% shooting percentage

  • Sophomore goalie Connor Winters recorded a career-high 17 saves in the OT win against St. Bonaventure and has a .575 save percentage

  • Sophomore Gage Adams has six goals and one assist, while redshirt junior Thomas Greenblatt has four goals and five assists

  • Senior Matthew DeSouza has won 19 of 31 faceoffs, junior Ross Chazanow has won 15 of 29 faceoffs. 

About Lafayette

  • 1-3 record with losses at Penn State, No. 12 Delaware, and at Drexel

  • Leopards are led by junior midfielder John Mathes who has 10 goals, junior attack Charlie Cunniffe has seven goals and four assists, junior Peter Lehman has eight goals and two assists on the season

  • Senior Tommy McGee and junior Nicco Jacimovic lead the Leopards defense with six and five caused turnovers

Series History

  • Binghamton leads the all time series 7-3, last two meetings went to overtime and were decided by one goal

  • Binghamton has won the last two meetings
