Men’s lacrosse travels to Fairfield for third game in a week

VESTAL, N.Y.- Binghamton men's lacrosse (3-2) will be on the road on Saturday to take on Fairfield (2-4) for their third game in a week. BU is 1-1 coming into the third game after falling short on the comeback against Lehigh on Tuesday. 

Fairfield Stags

  • Come into the game with a 2-4 record, currently on a three game losing streak

  • Have four players with 10 or more goals, led by sophomore Jack McKenna (16 goals, 3 assists), redshirt junior Bryce Ford (14 goals, 7 assists), senior Max Paparozzi (12 goals, 5 assists), and freshman Will Consoli (10 goals, 4 assists)

  • Freshman goalie Will Snyder has been in the net for the Stags the past four games, Snyder has recorded 43 saves

  • Redshirt sophomore Dylan Smith has 66 faceoff wins, .512 faceoff win percentage

Binghamton Bearcats

  •  Will play their third game in a week

  • Led by sophomore attack Matthew Keegan (13 goals, 3 assists), has scored two goals in each of the last two games

  • Sophomore attack Gage Adams (12 goals, 2 assists), has two games- Marist and Lehigh- with 5 goals 

  • Redshirt junior Thomas Greenblatt leads the team with 9 assists, also has 10 goals on the season

  • Senior faceoff special Matthew DeSouza has won 44 faceoffs (.620 faceoff win percentage), junior Ross Chazanow has won 36 faceoffs (.545 faceoff win percentage), BU ranks 16th in the Nation and 1st in the America East in Faceoff Win Percentage

  • Three Bearcats have recorded five or more caused turnovers, senior Declan Ferris (8), sophomore Christian Hanko (5), sophomore Lorenzo Ramos (5)

Series History

  • Fairfield won the first and only meeting 16-11 between the two teams last season.

  • Stags led 9-8 in the third quarter before scoring six straight spanning the third and fourth quarters to take a 15-8 lead.
