Men’s lacrosse looks to start 3-0 in America East play at UMass Lowell

VESTAL, N.Y.- Binghamton men's lacrosse (7-2, 2-0 AE) will look to win their fourth straight game of the season when they travel to take on UMass Lowell (0-7, 0-2 AE). The Bearcats start America East play 2-0 for the second straight year and will look to make it a 3-0 start for the first time since 2017. 

 

About Binghamton

  • The duo of sophomore Matthew Keegan and redshirt junior Thomas Greenblatt have both recorded 33 points on the season, Keegan leads the team in goals with 26 and adds 7 assists, Greenblatt leads the team in assists with 20 and adds 13 goals 

  • Sophomore Gage Adams scored a career high 6 goals in the win over NJIT and has 21 goals on the season

  • Senior faceoff specialist Matthew DeSouza remains atop the America East in Faceoff Win Percentage (.641)

  • Redshirt freshman goalie Connor Winters posted a career high 17 saves in a win over NJIT last week 

 

About UMass Lowell

  • The River Hawks are led by new head coach Drew Kelleher, former standout player at Vermont.

  • Lowell has six players with five or more goals on the season, graduate student Sean Parker has eight goals on the season with 3 of the goals coming in man-up situations 

  • Freshman faceoff Devin German has won 40% of faceoffs this season

 

Series History

  • BU leads the series 5-2, BU has won 2 of the last 3 contests with both wins coming on the road at UMass Lowell, The River Hawks won last season 9-7 in the regular season finale.
