VESTAL, N.Y. - Binghamton women's lacrosse will battle Albany in the final home game of the regular season on Saturday at noon at the Bearcats Sports Complex. The Bearcats are undefeated at home this season (4-0). This game is widely regarded as one of the most monumental games in program history. The Bearcats and Great Danes will matchup for a chance to host the America East tournament and clinch at least a share of the regular season title. The Bearcats are seeking their first ever regular season title since the program began in 2002. Binghamton became the first team to clinch a spot in the America East tournament with the win against Bryant last Saturday. Saturday's game will also be senior day for Binghamton. - Binghamton defeated Bryant, 19-7, in Smithfield, R.I. last Saturday. Kenna Newman had a historic performance with 11 points, which is the second highest total in a game in program history. Newman scored four goals and broke her own BU single-game record with seven assists. Newman earned national recognition as Inside Lacrosse Women's Player of the Week. Newman also earned America East Offensive player of the week. Newman currently leads the team with 47 points (19 goals, 28 assists) and is fifth in the America East in points per game (3.62). Newman is currently second in the America East in assists and assists per game (2.15). Newman is currently t-17th in the NCAA for assists. Newman's 28 assists in the 2023 season ranks as the third-highest total in a single-season in program history. The single-season record for assists (33) is held by Kimberly McGeever (2012).

The Bearcats are second in the America East in both categories, and their 18.92 points per game ranks 32nd in the nation, while their assist per game total is t-37th in the nation.
