VESTAL, N.Y. - Binghamton women's lacrosse will battle Albany in the final home game of the regular season on Saturday at noon at the Bearcats Sports Complex. The Bearcats are undefeated at home this season (4-0). This game is widely regarded as one of the most monumental games in program history. The Bearcats and Great Danes will matchup for a chance to host the America East tournament and clinch at least a share of the regular season title. The Bearcats are seeking their first ever regular season title since the program began in 2002. Binghamton became the first team to clinch a spot in the America East tournament with the win against Bryant last Saturday. Saturday's game will also be senior day for Binghamton. The Bearcats will honor nine seniors (Paige Alletzhauser, Cassidy Evans, Jamie Golderman, Rebecca Korn, Emily Manning, Isabella Meli, Kenna Newman, Daisy Willard, and Tiana Vazquez) with a recognition ceremony following the game.

Binghamton Notes

• Binghamton defeated Bryant, 19-7, in Smithfield, R.I. last Saturday. Kenna Newman had a historic performance with 11 points, which is the second highest total in a game in program history. Newman scored four goals and broke her own BU single-game record with seven assists. Newman earned national recognition as Inside Lacrosse Women's Player of the Week. Newman also earned America East Offensive player of the week. Newman currently leads the team with 47 points (19 goals, 28 assists) and is fifth in the America East in points per game (3.62). Newman is currently second in the America East in assists and assists per game (2.15). Newman is currently t-17th in the NCAA for assists. Newman's 28 assists in the 2023 season ranks as the third-highest total in a single-season in program history. The single-season record for assists (33) is held by Kimberly McGeever (2012).

• Binghamton is averaging 13.08 goals per game and 5.85 assists per game. The Bearcats are second in the America East in both categories, and their 18.92 points per game ranks 32nd in the nation, while their assist per game total is t-37th in the nation. Offensively, Binghamton leads the America East in total shots (402) and woman-up goals (20). Eight different Bearcats have 10+ goals on the season, which is the most on any team in the America East. 

• Abigail Carroll leads the team with 33 goals, which ranks fifth in the America East. Carroll is also third on the team with 40 points this season. Carroll currenlty leads the America East and is seventh in the nation with 1.23 free position goals per game.

• Olivia Muscolino is second on the team with 41 points, 29 goals, and 12 assists. Muscolino registered five points (three goals, two assists) in the win against Bryant. Marisa Tancredi is third on the team with 22 goals. Tancredi had three goals in the win against Bryant. 

• Hayley Weltner leads the team and is third in the America East with 71 draw controls. Weltner needs just six draw controls to set a new BU single-season record. Earlier this season, Weltner set the Binghamton single-game record with 14 draw controls against UMBC on March 18. Weltner is t-27th in the nation for draw controls. 

• The Bearcats are third in the America East and 21st in the nation in ground balls per game (18.23). Angelina Suau leads the America East and is t-20th in the nation with 37 ground balls. Suau is also second in the America East in caused turnovers (30) and caused turnovers per game (2.31). Suau is also 12th in the nation in caused turnovers per game. 

• Emily Manning has made 99 saves this season and is second in the America East in save percentage (.429). 

Scouting the Great Danes

• In their most recent game, Albany lost to #2 Northwestern in a non-conference game, 21-11. 

• Shonly Wallace (43 goals) and Sarah Falk (39 goals) are second and third in the America East in goals. They are also in the top five in the America East for shots per game. Wallace is sixth in the America East in points per game (3.54). 

• Katie Pascale (21 assists) and Bryar Hogg (20 assists) rank fourth and fifth in the America East in assists.

• Pascale is second in the America East with 87 draw controls. 

• Mackenzie Beam is ninth in the America East with 25 ground balls.

• Aislinn Sweeney and Grace Cincebox have split time in the cage this season. Sweeney has played in 11 games, while Cincebox has played in eight.

• Albany leads the all-time series, 22-0, dating back to 2002. The Great Danes won the last meeting on March 26, 2022, 15-11.
