Men's Lacrosse travels to UMBC for America East contest

VESTAL, N.Y.- Binghamton men's lacrosse (7-3, 3-1 AE) will hit the road for another America East matchup against UMBC (7-3, 2-2 AE). The Bearcats will look to stay hot on the road where they hold a 5-1 record. 

About Binghamton

  • The Bearcats are led offensively by redshirt junior Thomas Greenblatt and sophomore Matthew Keegan. Greenblatt and Keegan have recorded 45 points. Greenblatt leads the team in assists with 27 and Keegan leads the team with 37 goals. 

  • Greenblatt is 4 assists shy from breaking the Binghamton season record, Keegan is 12 goals away from breaking the Binghamton season record.

  • Keegan ranks sixth in the nation in goals/game (3.70), Greenblatt ranks eighth in assists/game (2.70)

  • At the x, senior Matthew DeSouza has been strong. DeSouza ranks second in the nation in faceoff win percentage (.651)

  • Redshirt freshman goalie Connor Winters holds a .560 save percentage, sixth best in the nation. Winters recorded a career-high 20 saves last week against Vermont.

  • Goalie Jayson Tingue ranks fourth in the nation in goals against (8.49) and third in the America East in saves percentage (.536)

  • Attack Mateo Brown ranks third in the America East in goals/game (3.10) and has scored multiple goals in six straight contests

  • The Retrievers rank third in the America East in caused turnovers/game (8.90)

  • UMBC leads the all-time series 18-8. The two teams split games last season.
