Bearcats and Saints square off at 7 p.m. at Stadium

VESTAL, N.Y. - Binghamton (20-14) baseball begins its final homestand of the season by hosting Siena (9-31) at 7 p.m. Tuesday at the Bearcats Baseball Complex.

The Bearcats, winners of eight of their last 12, play five straight at home before closing the regular season with nine straight road games. Over the weekend, BU dropped two of three at NJIT and now sit in fourth place in the America East standings. The team's five conference losses have come by a combined six runs. Binghamton is hitting .295 and has a 5.52 pitching ERA. Junior center fielder Tommy Reifler leads the conference with a .397 average, which ranks 40th in the country. Sophomore third baseman Nick Roselli has a team-best 35 RBI — fourth in the America East.

Senior Tanner Sinicki (5.14 ERA) will make his first collegiate start after 33 previous appearances, all in relief. Multiple other Bearcats are expected to work an inning.

The Saints started the season 2-24 and have had an uphill battle since. The team has won three of their last five, however. Over the weekend Siena dropped two of three to MAAC opponent Iona but won the series finale, 19-14 on Sunday. The team has plated 19 or more runs in two of its last four games, having toppled Dartmouth 20-1 (in 7 inn.) last Wednesday. Siena is 3-9 in the MAAC, good for 10th place (of 11). The team is hitting .230 and has a 8.14 pitching ERA. Freshman infielder Aiden Stewart leads the team in average (.295), home runs (6) and RBI (28).

Binghamton leads the all-time series against Siena 15-9. The last time they met was 2018 and the Bearcats swept a road doubleheader.
