Women’s Lacrosse Adds Nine to 2023-24 Roster

Allen adds depth in all positions with new signees

VESTAL, N.Y. - The Binghamton University women's lacrosse team has added nine new freshmen to its 2023-24 official roster, announced Head Coach Stephanie Allen this afternoon. 

"We are extremely excited to welcome this talented and competitive group to the program," said Allen. "These young ladies bring the championship mentality that we are growing and fostering here at Binghamton. This class will certainly complement our returning roster and bring a fresh sense of purpose and intensity to the team." 

MIDFIELD
Grace Agrillo comes to campus as a three-year letter winner out of Huntington High School. Agrillo earned both the Greg Kline "Hustle" and Most Valuable Midfielder awards for the Blue Devils. She recorded 16 goals, 17 assists and over a 100 ground balls in her high school career.
Agrillo was also a member of the first Huntington team to make it past the second round of the playoffs in over 15 years in 2023. The first-year played club for Liberty Lacrosse. 

Keira Bauer joins the 2023-24 roster after playing six years of varsity lacrosse for Long Beach High School. In her senior season, Bauer won 80 draw controls and accounted for 42 points. The first-year was a member of Long Beach's county finalist team. She starting playing club for Team Elevate LI as an eighth grader and won multiple coaches awards.

Another Long Island native, Mia Forte is a four-year letterwinner out of Eastport South Manor. As a senior, she tallied 28 goals, 14 assists and 23 draw controls. Forte was a member of the Sharks 2022 New York Championship team. She is a two-time All-Conference honoree and a 2023 All-County award winner. Forte earned 2023 ESM Most Dedicated Female Athlete and Girl Lacrosse Coach's awards. The first-year was also named to the 2022 American Select LI Black Team and a 2023 LILJ Paumanok Award nominee. 

ATTACK 
A 2023 St. Anthony's High School graduate, Abbey D'Elia comes to BU after playing two years of varsity lacrosse for the Friars. D'Elia was a member of St. Anthony's nationally ranked lacrosse program that took home two CHSAA titles during her tenure. As a club player for LILJ All Long Island, she was named a Brine National All-American, to Long Island Lax Journal's Top Freshman Girls Lacrosse Players and as one of the top 60 freshmen girls lacrosse players on Long Island by Back of the Cage. D'Elia was one of 16 girls nationally to be a 2023 US Club Lacrosse players champion representative and was one of two girls named to the USBOXLA Island Box lacrosse team. Finally, she was the leading scorer of her summer lacrosse club team in 2020. 

Addie Lowery joins the Bearcats from Westhill High School where she was a three-year lacrosse letterwinner. Lowery was a member of the Warrior's 2021 sectional finalist and two-time sectional semifinalist team. In her high school career, the Syracuse native recorded 96 goals, 35 assists, and 14 ground balls. Lowrey earned an All-League Honorable Mention as well as a first and second team nod. She was also named to the 2022 and 2021 Under Armor All-American Watch List along with an Under Armor 150 Select Team honor in 2020. Lowery played three years of club for Gait Lacrosse, another three for Monster Elite Purple and one with Monster Elite White.

Kailyn Salony played five years of lacrosse at Bethpage High School before signing onto the Bearcats program. Salony was named her team's Most Valuable Player as a senior and took home All-County honors the same year. The first-year player was named to Newsday's Top 100 senior girls lacrosse players and grabbed two All-County Honorable Mention. During her tenure at Bethpage, Salony accounted for 106 points, 75 goals and 29 assists. 

DEFENSE
Aimee Roskot comes to Vestal from Bay Shore High School where she competed for four years as a Marauder defender. Roskot earned All Division honors her senior year and was named a team captain. She was also a two-time New York Scholar Athlete. Roskot played seven years of club lacrosse for Long Island Top Guns. 

Maryn Savage was a three-year letter winner in lacrosse at Victor Central High School before becoming a Bearcat. Savage was a member of Victor's two-time New York State and Section V Class B Champion in 2022 and 2023. She was named to the 2023 First Team all-Monroe County as a senior and to the Second Team All-Monroe County as a junior. In 2023, Savage also earned Section V All-Tournament team, NYS NYSPHAA Class B All-Tournament Team and a All-Greater Rochester First Team selection as the group's lone defender. She was also named Defensive MVP of the Section V Senior All-Star Game and as her high school's Defensive MVP and Team Captain.

GOALKEEPER
Maeve Sayre joins the goalie squad at BU from Immaculate Heart Academy where she played four years of varsity lacrosse. In time as a Blue Eagle, Sayre recorded 207 saves, 34 ground balls and 11 caused turnovers. She garnered a postseason Honorable Mention in 2022. Sayre also played 10 years of club lacrosse.
