Men’s Soccer Travels to Canisius

Bearcats and Golden Griffs face off Wednesday at 4 p.m.

STORY LINES:

- Binghamton (1-4-0) was defeated by Lafayette 2-0 on Saturday night. The match was interrupted by lightning delays in the first half. The weather halted play for one hour and 46 minutes.

- Graduate midfielder Jack Green continues to lead the Bearcats with six points total this season (two goals and two assists). In the America East, he ranks third with 0.400 goals per game.

- Canisius (1-3-1) lost their most recent game 4-2 Saturday afternoon against Cornell. Earlier in the season, the Golden Griffins defeated Central Connecticut State 4-2 on Sept. 4.

- Ely Sidibe and Michael Switala lead Canisius with six points each. Switala is also tied for first in the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference with three goals this season. Sidibe, meanwhile, has two goals and two assists.

- Binghamton leads the all-time series record against Canisius 4-1-1. The two teams' most recent face-off was last season, when they played a scoreless game on Sept. 17 at the Bearcats Sports Complex.

- The last time the Bearcats defeated Canisius was Sept. 11, 2021, when Binghamton won 3-1.

- This is the third straight season Binghamton will play Canisius.
