Men’s Soccer travels to No. 17 Cornell

Bearcats and Big Red kick off Tuesday at 7 p.m.

STORY LINES

- Binghamton (1-3-3) had its three-game unbeaten streak snapped during Saturday's 2-0 loss at Hofstra. The Bearcats held the Pride - a team receiving votes in the current United Soccer Coaches (USC) Poll, to a scoreless first half before conceding both goals in the final 21 minutes of play.

- Binghamton is in the midst of a four-match road trip. After Cornell, the Bearcats travel to NJIT on Saturday and New Hampshire on Oct. 3. 

- Senior forward Anthony Randazzo has had a successful start to the season. Through seven games, he has scored a pair of goals to go along with a game-winning assist. 

- Cornell (3-2-0) enters the game ranked No. 17 in the USC Poll and No. 15 by College Soccer News (CSN). The Big Red are the first nationally-ranked opponent the Bearcats face this season.

- The Big Red is coming off a 2-0 win last Saturday at Western Michigan. In that match, Cornell coach John Smith earned his 92nd career victory to become the winningest coach in program history.

- The Big Red is led by midfielder Connor Miller, who has scored three goals while playing every minute of Cornell's five matches. Forward Sergio Zapata has added three assists.

- Cornell holds a 12-4-2 advantage in the all-time series against the Bearcats, having won the past seven matches. Most recently, the Big Red won 5-0 in Binghamton on Sept. 30, 2025.

- Current graduate student midfielder Gaven Egan and junior forward DT Megliola each scored a goal in Binghamton's last visit to Cornell on Oct. 1, 2024. Egan's goal was assisted by current senior forward Marcus Nahim. The Bearcats, however, lost the match 5-2. 

- The Bearcats' most recent win over Cornell was a 1-0 road decision on Sept. 15, 2015. 

- Binghamton's last win over a nationally-ranked opponent came on Sept. 29, 2018 when it defeated then No. 23 New Hampshire 2-1 at the Bearcats Sports Complex. A facility-record 3,265 fans were on hand for the victory.
