Men’s Soccer hosts Le Moyne

Bearcats and Dolphins square off Saturday at 6:07 p.m.

STORY LINES

- Binghamton (1-2-2) has been off since its 1-0 victory against Central Connecticut State last Saturday. Senior back Saar Almoznino scored the game winning goal, which was assisted by senior forwards Anthony Randazzo and Marcus Nahim.

- Almoznino is the current America East Defensive Player of the Week. Last Saturday's goal was his first as a member of the Bearcats as well as the first game winning goal of his NCAA career. 

- Senior goalkeeper Natan Jemaneh Admassu is the reigning America East Goalkeeper of the Week. He earned his second straight shutout - and third for the season - in last Saturday's match. 

- Le Moyne's (3-1-1) last outing was a 1-0 loss to Niagara last Saturday. The Dolphins began the season with three straight victories, outscoring their opponents 6-1 in the process. During that stretch, forward Felix Ludemann and back Louis Weisser each scored a pair of goals.

- Binghamton and Le Moyne have both faced Colgate this season. While the Bearcats played to a 0-0 tie on Sept. 2, the Dolphins defeated the Raiders 3-1 on Aug. 27. 

- Binghamton has a 5-0-2 lead in the all-time series against Le Moyne, including a 2-0 advantage since both programs have competed at the NCAA Division I level. Most recently, Randazzo scored a pair of goals and current junior forward DT Megliola added an assist in a 3-2 road victory last Sept.7. The Bearcats scored three second-half goals in a span of just 3:07.

The last time the two teams faced off at the Bearcats Sports Complex, Binghamton emerged with a 1-0 victory on Aug. 25, 2024. Nahim was credited with an assist on the game-winning goal in the 82nd minute. 

- The weekly honors received by Almoznino and Admassu mark the first time that the Bearcats have posted a pair of weekly award winners since March 23, 2021. During that week, Noah Luescher was named the top Offensive Player and Cooper Sayles was chosen as the best Rookie. The 2020 season was moved to the spring due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
