Men’s Soccer Hosts No. 18 New Hampshire

STORY LINES:

- Binghamton (2-5-0, 0-0-0 AE) was defeated 3-1 by Saint Peter's on Tuesday evening. The Bearcats' goal was scored by redshirt senior midfielder Anthony Lazaridis in the 58th minute when he headed the ball into the net off a corner kick by graduate student midfielder Jack Green.

- Green leads Binghamton with seven total points this season (two goals and two assists). He is tied for eighth in the America East with 1.00 points per game.

- New Hampshire (4-1-1, 0-0-0 AE) is the defending America East champion and is currently ranked No. 18 in the United Soccer Coaches (USC) Top 25 National Poll. It most recently defeated Princeton 3-1 on Sept. 15. Previously in their season, the Wildcats also defeated then No. 11 Florida International on Sept. 8.

- Eli Goldman and Bilal Kamal lead the Wildcats with six points each. Goldman, who has scored three goals this season, was named to the College Soccer News Men's National Team of the Week after scoring two key goals in New Hampshire's match against Princeton. Kamal, meanwhile, has two goals and two assists along with 1.00 points per game.

- New Hampshire leads the all-time series record 14-10-2. The Wildcats have won the last four meetings, including a 3-0 victory last season in the semifinals of the America East Tournament. Binghamton's most recent victory in the series was on Sept. 29, 2018, when it defeated No. 23 New Hampshire 2-1. This also marked the last time the Bearcats triumphed over a nationally-ranked team.

- Since joining the America East in 2002, Binghamton has gone 12-5-4 in conference openers, winning two out of its last three such matches.

- New Hampshire is the second nationally-ranked team that Binghamton will play this season. The Bearcats faced then top-ranked Syracuse back on Aug. 28. In addition, Vermont, who Binghamton meets on Oct. 14, is currently ranked No. 17.
